What type of information do we collect?

Personal information you disclose to us

We collected personal information that you willingly provide for us such as name and contact information, this includes information on other parties as well, such as when you share content with family and friends.

The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the website or mobile application, the choices you make and the products and features you use. The personal information we collect can include the following:

Name and Contact Information: We may collect your first and last name, email address, phone number, and other similar contact data if you provide it.

Information automatically collected

Some information such as IP address and browser and device characteristics is collected automatically when you visit our websites and use our mobile applications. This information is primarily needed to maintain security and operation of our software and services, as well as for our internal analytics and reporting of app and software usage.

Information collected within our software

We collect usage data within our applications including, but not limited to, usage times, user preferences, and interactions with the application. We may also access personal data within our mobile applications such as your photos, camera, mobile device location, files, if and when you consent within the application.

We use the data we collect to communicate with you, this includes responding directly to your requests or inquiries and also sending you update, news, promotional and marketing information.

We use the data we collect to operate our business, this includes generating reports about our users anonymously, generating reports for internal business use, using analytical data to better improve and update our software.

How do we protect personal information

We use network encryption such as Transport Layer Security (TLS) to protect your personal data again unwanted parties and middlemen from viewing your data unauthorized. We use third-party cloud services to store some of your personal and anonymous data. The security of third-party services and the internet should but cannot always be guaranteed and you acknowledge this in your use of our software. While we try to improve our security within our software constantly, you are responsible for securing and maintaining the privacy of your own personal data when using software and services from other companies.

Do we share data with third parties?

We engage third-party service providers to perform functions and provide services to us in the United States, European Union, and other countries and nations. For example we use third-party services to help operate our services such as our website and mobile application hosting on the Apple App Store or Google Play, and to help us understand the use of our software and services, such as data stored using Firebase Analytics or Firebase Cloud Storage.

We may share your data provided that you have given consent for us to use your personal information in a specific way for a specific purpose. We may also process anonymous data when necessary to improve our products and services and to achieve business interests.

We may disclose your information when and where we are legally required to do so in order to comply with applicable laws, governmental requests, judicial proceedings, court orders, or any applicable legal process, only if absolutely necessary.

We may use your information or disclose to third-parties if we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action against potential violations of our own policies, suspected fraud, or situations involving potential threats to safety or illegal activities.

If you no longer wish to receive correspondence, emails or other communications from third parties, you are responsible for contacting the third party directly.

Our software may contain links to third-party websites and applications of interest, including advertisements and external services, that are not affiliated with us. Once you have used these links to leave the Application, any information you provide to these third parties is not covered by this Privacy Policy, and we cannot guarantee the safety and privacy of your information. Before visiting and providing any information to any third-party websites, you should inform yourself of the privacy policies and practices (if any) of the third party responsible for that website, and should take those steps necessary to, in your discretion, protect the privacy of your information. We are not responsible for the content or privacy and security practices and policies of any third parties, including other sites, services or applications that may be linked to or from the Application.

Do we use cookies and tracking technologies?

We do not currently use first-party cookies on our website, but we may include the usage of these technologies in the future. This might include using cookies and similar technologies for authentication, remembering preferences and settings, determining usage data.

We do use analytical tracking technologies in our mobile applications to collect usage data and serve the most relevant advertisements within our mobile applications. We may also partner with selected third-party vendors, such as Google Analytics or Firebase Analytics to allow tracking technologies and remarketing services in our mobile application through the use of first party cookies and third-party cookies, to, among other things, analyze and track users' use our software and services, determine the popularity of certain content, and better understand online activity. By accessing our software and services, you consent to the collection and use of your information by these third-party vendors. You are encouraged to review their privacy policy and contact them directly for responses to your questions.

Is your information transferred internationally?

Our servers are located in the United States of America. If you are accessing our Sites from outside the United States of America, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed by us in our facilities and by those third parties with whom we may share your personal information (see "Do we share data with third parties?" above), in the U.S., Europe and other countries.

If you are a resident in the European Economic Area, then these countries may not have data protection or other laws as comprehensive as those in your country. We will however take all necessary measures to protect your personal information in accordance with this privacy policy and applicable law.

How can users control their data?

We allow you to be in control of our personal information. If you have any personal information that you have provided us you can edit it within the settings screens within our mobile applications. If you have contact information that you would like to remove from our mailing lists or contact lists you will be able to do so by either sending a reply or navigating to an unsubscribe link. It is important to remember that if you delete of limit use of your personal information some software or services may not function properly. Do we collect information from minors?

We do not knowingly solicit information from or market to children under the age of 13. By using our software and services you represent that you are at least 13 or that you are the parent or guardian of a minor and consent to the minor dependent's use of our software and services. If you become aware of any data we have collected from children under age 13 and that is without parent or guardian approval, please email us at privacy@minimalistlabs.com.

What are your privacy rights?

California

California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the "Shine The Light" law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year. If you are a California resident and would like to make such a request, please submit your request in writing to us using the contact information provided below.

If you are under 18 years of age, reside in California, and have a registered account with any of our software or services, you have the right to request removal of unwanted data that you publicly post using our software or services. To request removal of such data, please contact us using the contact information provided below, and include the email address associated with your account and a statement that you reside in California. We will make sure the data is not publicly displayed on our software or services, but please be aware that the data may not be completely or comprehensively removed from our systems.

Europe

For now we do not offer our products and services in the European Economic Area or anywhere the EU General Data Protection Regulation is required.

Will this policy change?

From time to time, we may need to update this Privacy Policy. The updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible. We will always indicate the date the last changes were published somewhere in this Privacy Policy and all future updated Privacy Policies. When necessary we will try to notify you of significant changes to our Privacy Policy provided we have collected email address information from you.
